Clancey Tallies Third Goal At Manhattanville

RYE, NY (January 18, 2020) --- Raeann Clancey scored her third goal of the year for the King's College women's ice hockey team in an 8-1 loss at Manhattanville College on Saturday afternoon from the Playland Ice Casino in Rye, NY.

The host Valiants scored three goals in each period and were led by Tianna Lopes with a hat trick and Amanda Sabia with two goals. Lopes added two assists to finish the game with five points while Sabia had four points also making two assists. Zoey Pellowitz, Ali Howard, and Taylor Ham each had three points on a goal and two assists.

Clancey's fourth career goal came in the third period off an assist by Kateri Heithaus. The Valiants scored three power play goals on six opportunities during the game and also added two short-handed goals while recording a 57-9 shot advantage. Clancey and Caitlin Redden each had two shots to lead KC.

The Monarchs will look to end their current losing skid next Friday when they travel back to the site of their first victory of the season with a 7 pm matchup against the Golden Wolves of Alvernia University. The Monarchs beat AU 4-2 to close out 2019 at the Keystone Holiday Classic.
