OSWEGO, NY (January 8, 2020) --- The King's College women's ice hockey team dropped a 9-0 decision to host SUNY Oswego on Wednesday afternoon from the Marano Campus Center Arena in Oswego.
Oswego (8-3-1) scored four goals in both the first and third period in their first game of 2020. King's (1-8-1) struggled to get any offense going against the Lakers stingy defense as the hosts outshot KC 49-7.

Amber Thomas and Eryn Stewart each had a goal and an assist while both Natalie Giglio and Avery Webster recorded two assists.
The Monarchs blocked 17 shots including a team high seven by
Maggie Gould. King's was called for a season low two penalties and was successful on both penalty kills against the Lakers' 14th-ranked power play.
Josée Aitken won a team high six faceoff attempts.
Hannah Bowers made 18 saves in goal during the first 29:26 of the game before being replaced by
Emma Zeveney. The junior finished the game making 22 saves.
KC will return to Wilkes-Barre after their short road trip to begin 2020 where they will play a pair of Middle Atlantic Conference opponents this weekend.
