WILKES-BARRE, PA (October 3, 2021) -- The rain spoiled the afternoon for the King's College Men's Fall Invitational on Sunday afternoon. Prior to the weather cancellation, the doubles winners were crowned, but the individualist titles were not completed.
For the Monarchs, sophomore
Joe Lennon fell in the quarterfinals of No. 2 singles competition, 6-0, 7-5, to Penn College's Alexander Norris. At No. 4 singles, first year
Cody Zheng dropped his semifinal match, 6-0, 6-2, to Scranton's John Sinclair.
The No. 6 singles semifinal match between first year
Alex Nole and Manhattanville's Alex Crowley was not played due to the inclement weather.
In doubles play, the remaining Monarchs pair of first year
Jacob Nelson and Nole fell at No. 3 doubles, 8-0, to the eventual champions from Manhattanville.
The Monarchs will close out their fall 2021 schedule on Tuesday, October 5 as they host Cairn University at Kirby Park at 3:00 p.m.
