WILKES-BARRE, PA (October 30, 2021) --- The King's College women's soccer season were defeated 5-0 by No. 6 Misericordia in the final match of the season on Saturday afternoon at McCarthy Stadium.
The Cougars (16-1-0) got on the board early in the 10th minute when Emma Sweitzer scored past King's goalkeeper
Tara Bender. Sweitzer scored again in the 22nd minute off an assist from Ally Waite. MU added three more before halftime to take a 5-0 lead into the break.
The Monarchs (3-10-1)Â fought hard to keep the Cougars from finding the back of the net in the final 45 minutes. Unfortunately, KC was unable to notch a goal in their final outing of the season.Â

Mikaela Majcher each recorded a shot for King's, while Bender posted four saves in net for the Monarchs.
