COLLEGEVILLE, PA (November 13, 2021) --- The King's College wrestling team traveled to Ursinus College for the Racich Rumble Invitational today where they finished 11th out of 14 teams.
Senior
Kade Kravits earned the top finish for the Monarchs placing third in the 174 weight class. Kravits earned his first win of the day with a pin on Alex Abrahemsen of Worcester Polytechnic. He finished with an impressive 4-1 record on the day.
Nick Germano continued his stellar start to his Monarch career with a fifth place finish in a tough 133 weight class. He won his first bout of the day in a 4-2 decision before earning a technical fall against Rene Trevino of Wilkes University. Germano made it all the way to the semifinals, before dropping his bout to Andre Ruiz of New Jersey City University.Â
Noah Clawson provided another strong performance for KC, with a 3-2 record on the day. After losing his opening bout, Clawson notched consecutive wins over Scott Weinkowitz of Ursinus College and Enrique Cuevas of New Jersey City University.
King's also received a sturdy outing from
Billy Grace at 184 who finished the day at 4-2. Grace began his day pinning Jonah Potter of Worcester Polytechnic. Following a loss in his second bout, he bounced back with two straight pins over Mason Bayer of New Jersey City University and Hunter Beaudet of Elizabethtown College.Â
First-year Monarch
Jason Sine had a solid day at 197 going 2-2. He won his opening bout with a pin on Kyle Davis of Penn State Mont Alto. Later in the day, he earned another pin on Trevor Lintz of York College.
The wrestling squad will return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Bloomsburg University for a tri-meet with the Huskies and Shippensburg University.Â
