WILKES-BARRE, PA (November 17, 2021) --- The King's College wrestling squad came up short to both Division II Shippensburg University and host Bloomsburg University on Wednesday evening in live action from Bloomsburg, Pa.
 
The Monarchs began the night against the Raiders of Shippensburg, where they received two wins from senior Kade Kravits at 184 and junior Robert Zelinski at 157.
 
Kravits earned a 3-0 win over Drake Brenize, earning a point in the second period for Brenize stalling while Kravits built up riding time the whole period, and then an escape point to begin the third period. He then earned the extra point for riding time. Zelinski also earned a escape point in his match and then earned a late point for riding time to secure a 2-0 win against Matt Milbrand. Noah Clawson wrestled strong for KC against DeAndre Redd of Shippensburg, but his four points in the third round were not enough to come out on top in a 5-9 decision. The Monarchs nearly upset the Raiders but fell short in the HWT match to ultimately fall 24-26 overall.
 
King's College concluded its night against a strong Division I opponent in Bloomsburg University. Several Monarch wrestlers including Kravits and Zelinski battled strong, but in the end the power of the Huskies was too much to handle as the match ended 56-0 in favor of Bloomsburg.
 
KC will head to Muhlenberg University on Saturday for the Muhlenberg Duals at 9:00 am.
