ANNVILLE, PA (April 26, 2021) -- King's College softball earned its third player of the week honors for the season this morning as first year
Kiersten Krouse was named Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) Softball Player of the Week as announced by the conference office.
Krouse led the Monarchs to a 4-0 week with non-conference doubleheader sweeps over Lebanon Valley College and Lycoming College. The outfielder went 10-for-15 at the plate with three doubles, a triple, six runs scored, three RBIs, and four stolen bases. She led off the week going 4-for-4 in a home win over LVC, narrowly missing the cycle with a double, a triple, two runs scored, two RBIs, and two stolen bases. Then in a home sweep over Lycoming, she repeated a 4-for-4 game one with a double, three runs scored, an RBI, and two stolen bases. She ended the week with a double and a run in game two against the Warriors.
The honor is Krouse's first for the season and her career as the Monarchs prepare to host Lycoming in the MAC Freedom Championship Tournament Quarterfinals in the best-of-three series this Saturday at Betzler.
