GLENSIDE, PA (November 11, 2022) -- The King's College Monarchs women's swimming team fell to the Arcadia University Knights by a final of 216-32 on Friday night. With this loss the Monarchs drop to 0-8 overall while the Knights improve to 2-3 overall.
The first women's event to feature a King's College swimmer was the 200 yard freestyle.
Roni McClelland came in fourth in the event with a time of 2:30.98. Next came the 50 yard breaststroke.
Jamie Navarro represented the Monarchs and came in a close second with a time of 35.72.Â
McClelland and
Maddison Quick competed in the 50 free coming in fourth and fifth place with times of 27.17 and 31.28. Quick would compete again in the 100 free and finish in fourth at 59.55.Â
Navarro had the first of two first place finishes for the Monarchs in the 100 breast. She came out on top with a time of 1:16.43. McClelland finished in fifth in the same event at 1:26.39.Â
The next event was the 50 butterfly. Quick finished the event at 32.35 for fourth. Navarro capped off the night with another first place finish in the 200 yard individual medley. She won the event with a time of 2:27.07.
The women's swimming team will host the Diamond City Invitational next weekend beginning on Friday at 5:00 p.m. and going till Sunday.
