GLENSIDE, PA (February 19, 2022) -- In their MAC Freedom regular-season finale, the King's College men's basketball team fell on the road at Arcadia University, 81-54, on Saturday afternoon. The Monarchs are now set to prepare for their opening round contest in the MAC Freedom Championship tournament as they will host FDU-Florham on Monday night at 7:00 p.m. in McGrane Gymnasium.
King's (7-15, 3-13 MAC Freedom) started the game strong as they held a 12-7 lead over Arcadia (12-13, 11-5 MAC Freedom) with 13:38 to play in the opening half. The Knights responded with a 14-0 run over the next 3:04 of play to take a 21-12 lead with 9:46 to go before the break. Arcadia's lead swelled to as much as 15 before a layup by senior

The hosts came out firing in the second half, but the Monarchs would not go away easily. King's closed within 12, 59-47, with 11:51 remaining on a three-point play from first year
Chris Patton, but a costly scoring drought saw Arcadia rebuild their lead down the stretch and the Monarchs could not recover as they posted the 81-54 loss in MAC Freedom play on Saturday.

Arcadia was led by DJ Gardner with 27 points, Jalen Watkins grabbed nine rebounds, and Samuel Majekodunmi tallied five dimes in the win.
The Monarchs shared the ball well as they dished out 14 assists on 19 made baskets, and the defense collected six steals on 15 Arcadia turnovers. King's also held the advantage in second chance points (10-7) in the loss.
King's will be back in action on Monday night as they host FDU-Florham in the first round of the MAC Freedom tournament at 7:00 p.m. in McGrane Gymnasium.
