GLENSIDE, PA (February 19, 2022) -- Senior guard
Emily Kriston had a balanced effort of 20 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, and two steals as she led the King's College women's basketball team to a 57-52 win on the road at Arcadia in their MAC Freedom regular-season finale.
The standings are now set in the MAC Freedom Championship all-comers tournament as the Monarchs secured the third seed and will host Arcadia on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. in the MAC Freedom Quarterfinals in McGrane Gymnasium.

Kiersten Krouse gave the Monarchs their first lead of the game, 18-16, with 6:03 to go in the half before Arcadia (7-16, 7-9 MAC Freedom) tied the contest up twice, including at the halftime break, 27-27.
The Monarchs dominated the third quarter, outscoring the Knights 16-8. After a quick basket from Arcadia, King's opened the scoring with a 14-0 run as they capitalized on four Knights turnovers in the stretch to lead, 41-29, with 4:58 to play in the third. The hosts chipped away at the Monarchs lead as King's led, 43-35, heading into the final quarter of play. King's rebuilt their lead to 13, 48-35, with 8:01 off a three from Kriston, but the Knights responded with a 15-2 rally to tie the game at 50 with just 2:39 left on the clock.
The two teams traded pairs of points before a Kriston jumper at the 1:05 mark put the visitors ahead, 54-52. Another costly Arcadia turnover forced the Knights to foul down the stretch as the Monarchs connected on 3-of-4 from the charity stripe to secure the win, 57-52, in their MAC Freedom regular-season finale.

Samantha Rajza who added 16 points, three boards, two steals, and a block. Sophomore
Caileigh Costello tallied six points with three boards and two assists, while Heiskell-Mann added six points and four rebounds.
Julia Makowski led three Knights in double figures with 18 points, while Sidney Barrer recorded a double-double of 15 rebounds and 10 points.
King's shot 33.3 percent (20-60) from the floor, connecting on eight threes, while dishing out 12 assists on 20 baskets. The Monarchs defense forced 16 Arcadia turnovers, collecting eight steals, while also taking care of the ball and committing just seven miscues. King's capitalized on those Knights turnovers, scoring 21 points including 14 in transition, while the Monarchs bench outscored Arcadia's bench, 12-0.
The Monarchs are set to host the MAC Freedom Quarterfinals on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. as they host Arcadia in the single-elimination tournament.
