CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (March 11, 2022) --- Kade Kravits of King's College wrestling competed in the first session of the 2022 Division III National Championships on Friday afternoon at the US Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Kravits entered the day as the 12th seed in the 174 bracket. In the championship round one he faced off against 5th seeded Solomon Nielsen of Augsburg University. Kravits left it all out on the mats but was defeated by Nielsen in a 10-1 major decision.

The senior then headed to the second round of the prelims where he took on Jared Stricker of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Stricker would end of getting the best of the Monarch in a 12-0 major decision.

Despite falling at Nationals, Kravits had a historic year on the mats for King's. According to our records, his 37 wins this season matched the program record set by Mitch Marks and Jim Morgan. He also led his squad in both pins with 12 and tech falls with four. Kravits showed excellent leadership to a young and promising squad that continued to show immense improvement throughout the season.

Monarch wrestling is on the come up, be sure to keep an eye out for Josh Roosa's squad in years to come.
