WINSTON-SALEM, NC (March 12, 2022) – The moment he's been waiting for has arrived as senior Justin Le Cadre captured a third place finish at the NCAA Divison III Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Guilford College on Saturday.

Le Cadre's top-eight finish earns him All-American honors. He is the third Monarch on the men's indoor team to earn the honor for King's as Jackie Ni and Mitch Forgash earned the title in 2020 due to the championships being cancelled at the start of the pandemic.

Le Cadre left it all on the table this afternoon. Le Cadre bided his time as he waited until his final attempt to crank out his largest throw of the year. His mark of 16.44 meters not only smashed his own personal best but set a new program record and solidified his placement of third overall. Le Cadre entered the day ranked eighteenth and made quick work of his flight as he finished second with a throw of 15.80 meters. His second-place finish in his flight earned him seventh place overall and a spot in the finals.

He waited patiently as he remained seventh after the first two rounds of throws before he launched his final throw to rocket up to third overall. Le Cadre was beaten by Kevin Ruechel of the University of Wisconsin-Stout and Bram Miller of Carnegie Mellon who finished with marks of 17.78 meters and 16.85 meters respectively.
