NEW ORLEANS, LA (July 23, 2026) -- The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) recently announced its 2026 NCAA Division III All-Academic Athletes and All-Academic Teams, recognizing excellence in both competition and the classroom. The King's College men's and women's track & field programs were both honored as All-Academic Teams, while Owen Foytack, Caitlin Kirk, and Katey Shoemaker earned individual All-Academic Athlete recognition.
 
Under the direction of head coach Mike Kolinovsky, both programs continued their tradition of academic success during the 2025-26 academic year. The men's team posted a 3.33 team GPA, while the women's team recorded a 3.71 team GPA to secure USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors.
 
Individually, Foytack earned his second career USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete honor after becoming the seventh men's track & field student-athlete in program history to receive the distinction in 2025. On the women's side, Shoemaker collected her third consecutive All-Academic Athlete award, while Kirk garnered the recognition for the first time in her career. Kirk becomes the sixth Monarch women's track & field student-athlete to earn the honor.
 
USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete honors are awarded to nominated student-athletes who maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and either finish the season among the top 50 individuals on the TFRRS descending order lists, compete at the NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championships, or compete as a member of one of the top 35 relay teams on the TFRRS descending order lists.
 
The USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award recognizes programs that maintain a cumulative team GPA of at least 3.10. Team GPA is calculated using all student-athletes listed on the institution's NCAA squad list for the academic year.
 
The academic honors continue to highlight the commitment of King's track & field student-athletes to excellence both in competition and in the classroom, as the Monarchs once again earned recognition among the nation's top NCAA Division III programs.
