SELINSGROVE, PA (March 20, 2022) -- Junior 
Emily Morano earned the lone win for the King's College women's tennis team in an 8-1 loss at Susquehanna University on Sunday afternoon.
Morano recorded the victory at No. 4 singles, defeating Bella Scappaticci with set wins of 6-2 and 6-1.
In No. 1 singles play, junior 
Addie Atkins dropped two hard fought sets, 7-5 and 6-3, to Ashlynn Searer. First year 
Ashley Kenia fell by set scores of 6-1 and 6-2 at No. 2 singles to Julie Bramely. A battle took place at No. 3 singles as first year 
Hailey D'Amato dropped close sets of 7(1)-6 and 6-4 to Anna Ream. At No. 5 singles, sophomore 
Braelan Drollas fell, 6-2 and 6-1, to Chelsea Kneedler, while first year 
Sarah Stettler lost at No. 6 singles, 8-2, to Kristen Bair.
In doubles action, the Monarchs pair of Atkins and Kenia fell, 8-3, to the River Hawks team of Searer and Bramely. Then at No. 2 doubles, D'Amato and Morano were edged out, 8-7, by Susquehanna's Ream and Kneedler before Drollas and Stettler lost an 8-7 match at No. 3 doubles to Ream and Haley White.
King's will be back in action as they take on Lebanon Valley College in non-conference play on Saturday, March 26 at 1:00 p.m.
