KISSIMMEE, FL (March 8, 2022) -- After a tough night of inclement weather that ended their match last night, the King's College men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Trine University on Tuesday morning at the Star Island Resort.
At No. 1 singles, junior
Logan Gregory dropped matching 6-1 sets to Cole Goodman. Then in No. 2 singles play first year
Tommy Hallahan fell, 6-1 and 6-0, to Aaron Streit. No. 3 singles action saw first year
Patrick Pech lose by scores of 6-2 and a tough 7-5 set to Jaxon Davis.
No. 4 singles play saw sophomore
Aidan Temple downed by Drew Dixon, 6-2 and 6-0. At both No. 5 and No. 6 singles, first year
Cody Zheng and first year
Jacob Nelson both posted mirroring 6-0 losses in both of their sets.
The doubles pair of Gregory and Hallahan fell to the No. 1 doubles pair from Trine, 8-1. Then at No. 2 doubles, Pech and Temple were downed 8-0 before the No. 3 duo of Zheng and Nelson dropped an 8-0 decision to the Thunder doubles team.
The Monarchs are set up for two matches tomorrow as they open with Judson University at 9:30 a.m. at the Star Island Resort before taking on Ohio Wesleyan at 6:00 p.m. at the Oak Street facility.
