WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 21, 2022) -- In their second non-conference contest in as many days, the King's College men's tennis team blanked Clarks Summit University, 9-0, at Kirby Park on Thursday afternoon.
At No. 1 singles, junior
Logan Gregory earned decisive wins of 6-0 and 6-0 over Evan Michel. The No. 2 singles matchup saw first year
Tommy Hallahan hand Harrison Michel matching 6-0 losses. First year
Patrick Pech earned a win at No. 3 singles as he defeated Sam Knapp by set scores of 6-0 and 6-0, while sophomore
Aidan Temple blanked Donovan Olney by sets of 6-0 and 6-1 at No. 4 singles. Both No. 5 and No. 6 singles saw a pair of first years in
Jacob Nelson and
Alex Nole pick up respective wins by forfeit.
Doubles play saw the No. 1 doubles pair of Gregory and Hallahan defeat the Defenders 8-2. Then Nelson and Nole teamed up to defeat the Defenders 8-3. No. 3 doubles action saw Pech and Temple earn a forfeit win.
King's will be back on their home court on Saturday as they host Arcadia University in MAC Freedom play at 1:00 p.m. at Kirby Park.
