WILLIAMSPORT, PA (April 25, 2022) -- In their third straight day of MAC Freedom matches, the King's College men's tennis team earned a huge win over Lycoming College, 5-4, on Monday afternoon on the road. With the win, the Monarchs improve to 7-10 overall and 2-3 in the MAC Freedom, while the Warriors fall to 5-10 and 0-5 in the conference.

Logan Gregory and first year
Patrick Pech each earned two wins in the match. Gregory posted his win in No. 1 singles as he defeated Nathan Redell by matching scores of 6-3 before teaming up with Pech to defeat the Warriors pair by a gritty 8-6 score. Pech tabbed a win at No. 3 singles over Luke Leach as he earned set wins of 6-1 and 6-3.
King's also earned wins at No. 2 singles, thanks to identical 6-1 set scores by first year
Tommy Hallahan over Cody Greenaway, and at No. 6 singles as first year
Jacob Nelson defeated Mohamed Ebeid by sets of 6-2 and 6-3.
At No. 4 singles, Casey Haas handed sophomore
Aidan Temple losses of 6-3 and 7-5, while first year
Cody Zheng battled at No. 5 singles, falling 6-2 in the opening stanza before battling back to win 6-1 in the second and force the tough 6-3 loss in the third set.
Hallahan and Temple paired up as they fell, 8-6, at No. 2 doubles, while Zheng and Nelson lost an 8-3 decision to the Warriors duo.
King's will conclude the regular season at DeSales on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. in the MAC Freedom match.
