NEW ORLEANS, LA (January 27, 2023) -- On Thursday afternoon, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released the 2022 Cross Country Academic Awards. For the 13th consecutive year, both the King's College men's and women's cross country teams were honored by the organization for their successes in the classroom.

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers. Overall, there were 189 men's programs and 212 women's programs who were named All-Academic Teams for their efforts during the 2022 season.

The men's team posted a 3.67 GPA in a field led by Concordia University Wisconsin who recorded the highest GPA with a 3.79. On the women's side, King's finished the Fall 2022 semester with a 3.82 GPA, just behind the top GPA of 3.9 from Eastern Mennonite University.
