GLASSBORO, NJ (October 14, 2023) -- In their return to action, junior Owen Foytack was the top finisher at the 2023 Inter-Regional Border Battle on Saturday afternoon. The meet was hosted by Rowan University at DREAM Park in Glassboro, N.J.
 
On the 8,000-meter course, Foytack finished 61^st out of 276 runners in the meet, setting a new personal best in 26:09.3. Tyler Petty was next to cross for the Monarchs in 27:26.3, followed by Logan Taylor who ran a time of 27:58.1. Eric Johnson had a strong race as he finished in a new personal best 29:48.5, while Andrew Novrocki posted a time of 30:45.6.
 
Cortland's Hunter Brignall won the meet as he finished in a time of 24:44.8. The host Rowan won the team title with 87 points.
 
The Monarchs will begin final preparations for the 2023 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships on Saturday, October 28. The men's race is set to begin at 11:00 a.m. at Misericordia's Letterkenny Fields.
