WILKES-BARRE, PA (March 26, 2023) -- In singles action,
John Toussaint picked up the lone win for the Monarchs as the King's College men's tennis team fell, 8-1, to the visiting Lebanon Valley College on Sunday afternoon at Kirby Park. With the loss, the Monarchs drop to 2-4 overall, while the Dutchmen improve to 7-3.

Toussaint picked up the win at No. 2 singles, winning set on 7-6 and 7-5 in tiebreakers before defeating Adam Warren 6-2 in the second to secure the win.

Elsewhere in singles play,
Logan Gregory fell by sets of 7-5 and 6-1 to Justin Schuetz at No. 1 singles.
Patrick Pech was downed at No. 3 singles by Jeff Bauer by sets of 6-3 and 6-1, while
Nick Harth took the loss against Brady McLucas, 6-3 and 6-4, in No. 4 singles action. In No. 5 singles,
Aidan Temple lost by a pair of 6-1 sets to Jesse Beck, while
Brendan Turowski rounded out singles play with set losses of 6-2 and 6-1 to Brendan Byler at No. 6 singles.

Doubles action saw Gregory and Toussaint fall, 8-2, to the Dutchmen in No. 1 doubles action, while Pech and Temple were downed by the Dutchmen at No. 2 doubles, 8-3. Harth and Turowski battled in No. 3 doubles before dropping an 8-5 decision to Lebanon Valley's pair.

The Monarchs will return to the court on Wednesday, March 29 as they host Clarks Summit University at Kirby Park at 3:30 p.m.
