ORLANDO, FL (March 8, 2023) -- In their lone match on Tuesday evening, the King's College women's tennis team was downed, 9-0, to Ursinus College at Orlando's USTA National Campus.

Ashley Kenia and
Hailey D'Amato put up a battle at No. 1 doubles but ultimately fell, 8-4, to the Bears pair. Ursinus earned wins at No. 2 doubles by a score of 8-0 over
Braelan Drollas and
Payton Lloyd, while picking up a win by default at No. 3 doubles.

Kenia battled again in the singles match up with Burke from Ursinus before falling by set scores of 6-3 and 6-2 at No. 1 singles. The No. 2 singles match saw D'Amato fall, 6-1 and 6-0, to Stewart, while Drollas dropped a pair of 6-0 sets to Sumer at No. 3 singles.

The No. 4 singles pairing saw Ursinus' Compagnoni defeat Lloyd, 6-0 and 6-1, while
Emma Rooney fell by sets of 6-3 and 6-1 to the Bear's Maccarelli at No. 5 singles.

King's will conclude their trip in Orlando today as they take on University of Sioux Falls (SD) this morning at the Oak Street Park Community Center.
