WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 23, 2023) -- The King's College men's tennis team posted their fifth consecutive win on Sunday afternoon as they defeated Susquehanna University, 8-1, at Kirby Park in non-conference play. With the win, the Monarchs improve to 12-7 overall, while the River Hawks drop to 6-8.

Doubles play saw
Logan Gregory and
John Toussaint pick up an 8-2 decision over the River Hawks pair at No. 1 doubles, while
Patrick Pech and
Aidan Temple earned the win at No. 2 doubles, 8-4.
Nick Harth and
Brendan Turowski rounded out the doubles sweep with an 8-6 victory over Susquehanna at No. 3 doubles.

Gregory earned the win in No. 1 singles, 7-5 and 6-3, over Josh Sanderson, while Toussaint defeated Alex Baker by a pair of 6-0 sets in the No. 2 singles match. No. 3 singles saw Pech hand John Duncan sets of 6-3 and 7-5, before Harth downed Thomas Hallahan by sets of 6-4 and 6-2 in the No. 4 singles match. Turowski posted the final win in the match at No. 6 singles with set victories of 6-2 and 6-1, while Temple faced setbacks of 6-3 and 6-2 in the No. 5 singles contest to Kyle Wagner.

King's will prepare for their MAC Freedom Semifinal match up as they will head out to top-seeded Stevens on Tuesday afternoon. Action in the MAC Freedom Tournament is set to begin at 3:30 p.m. at Braddock Park.
