WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 5, 2023) -- In non-conference play on Wednesday afternoon, the King's College men's tennis team dominated Marywood University, 9-0, on their home courts at Kirby Park. With the win, the Monarchs improve to 6-6, while the Pacers fall to 1-6.

Doubles play saw both the No. 1 pair of
Logan Gregory and
John Toussaint and the No. 3 team of
Jacob Nelson and
Brendan Turowski down the Pacers by a score of 8-0. The No. 2 doubles match featured
Patrick Pech and
Aidan Temple defeat Marywood, 8-3.

In singles action, Gregory defeated Eddie McGreevy in the No. 1 singles match up, 6-0 and 6-2, while Toussaint downed David Chemidlin by a pair of 6-1 sets in the No. 2 singles contest. The No. 3 bout featured Pech earning wins of 6-0 and 6-2 over James Cawley, before
Aidan Temple was victorious at No. 4 singles over Jack Biggs, 6-4 and 6-2. Turowski earned set wins of 6-0 and 6-1 in the No. 5 singles match against Max Burke, while
Jacob Nelson completed the sweep over Marywood with a win over Matthew Wygonic at No. 6 singles, 7-5 and 6-0.

King's will be off for the holiday weekend before returning to play on Wednesday, April 12 as they take on Wilkes University in the MAC Freedom match. Action is set to begin at 3:00 p.m. in Edwardsville, Pa.
