DALLAS, PA (September 1, 2023) -- The trio of
Owen Foytack,
Logan Taylor, and
Andrew Novrocki all set new career-best times on a 4,000-meter course as the King's College men's cross country team competed in their season opener on Friday evening.

In the Misericordia Invitational at Letterkenny Field, Foytack posted a 14
th-place finish out of 120 runners to lead King's, crossing in a new personal-best 13:12.40.
Tyler Petty and
Logan Taylor were the next to cross for the Monarchs, as Petty placed 27
th overall in 13:45.80, while Taylor recorded his new career-best time in 14:02.90.

A solid effort from Novrocki saw the junior top his previous time by four seconds, finishing in 14:36.70, while
Will McCarroll and
Travis Lane rounded out the King's runners in 14:44.60 and 15:06.40, respectively.

As a team, the Monarchs finished seventh out of the 12 scoring teams with an average of 14:04.50. Lebanon Valley's men's squad won the team title with an average pace of 13:07.20, led by Matthew Santana who took the individual title in 12:46.70.

King's will return to the courses on Saturday, September 16 as the Monarchs are set to compete in the Cougar Invitational. The meet, hosted by Misericordia University, will take place at Letterkenny Fields with the men's race beginning at 11:00 a.m.
