Four Set Personal Best as Men's Cross Country Returns to Action at Lock Haven Invitational

LOCK HAVEN, PA (September 23, 2023) -- The King's College men's cross country team returned to action on Saturday morning as they competed in the packed meet at the Lock Haven Invitational. Hosted by Lock Haven University, the Monarchs ran on the 8,000-meter course at West Branch Cross Country Course.
 
It was a full field in the men's crimson race, and among the 265 runners across several divisions, Owen Foytack cracked the top-100 to lead King's as he crossed in a personal best 26:14.7 to place 97th. Tyler Petty was next to finish with a new personal best time of 27:10.2, followed by Logan Taylor as he finished in his own personal best time of 27:51.9.
 
Andrew Novrocki crossed in a personal best time of 29:23.1 on the 8,000-meter course for King's, and Eric Johnson rounded out the Monarch runners in 30:57.7.
 
Charleston (W.V.)'s George Couttie won the individual title in the crimson race as he finished in 23:40.1.
 
King's will be off for the next two weekends before returning to the course on Saturday, October 14 in the 2023 Inter-Regional Border Battle. The meet, hosted by Rowan University, will be held at DREAM Park in Glassboro, NJ with the men's race set to begin at 11:45 a.m.
