Mazzocchi Announces Wrestling 2023-2024 Season Slate

2023-2024 King's College Wrestling Schedule

WILKES-BARRE, PA (SEPTEMBER 29, 2023) -- The King's College wrestling team, under the direction of first-year head coach Christian Mazzocchi, announced their 2023-2024 season slate for the upcoming year on Friday afternoon.
 
The Monarchs' season will get underway on November 4th as they host their annual Ned McGinley Invitational in McGrane Gymnasium. The following weekend the squad will travel to Ursinus College for the Racich Rumble on November 11th. King's will return home to take on Gettysburg on November 18th.
 
After a short two-week break, the Monarchs will have a road weekend matchup at the Messiah Petrofes Invitational. Once the team has rested after finals, they will host Keystone and New Jersey City on December 16th.  King's will have a short commute to the Wilkes University Open before leaving for the holidays on December 22nd.
 
The Monarchs will begin 2024 with a home bout on January 9th against Alvernia and will face Sussex Community College the following weekend on January 12th in McGrane Gymnasium.  A week later the squad will compete in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships on January 20th. King's will then travel on January 27th to take on Lycoming.
 
In their final month of the season, the crew will battle on February 1st against Centenary. The Monarchs will turn around and compete in a tri-match against York and Johns Hopkins on February 3rd. The team will visit Delaware Valley on February 8th before having a short break to challenge Scranton and Hunter on February 10th. King's will entertain Oswego state on February 15th and will wrap up their season against cross town rival Wilkes on February 16th.

The top wrestler in each weight class will compete at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships on March 1st-2nd and will look to qualify for the NCAA Division III National Championships on March 15th-16th.
