SCRANTON, PA (October 12, 2024) -- The King's College women's swim team fell to Marywood 30-177 and Wilkes 34-100 on Saturday afternoon.
 
During the individual events, Esmeralda Romero posted a time of 1:30.54 in the 100-yard Backstroke for fourth place and Ash Fields-Clarkson followed with a time of 1:31.28 in Marywood Aquatics Center. During the 100-yard Breaststroke, Makenna Unvarsky clocked in at 1:34.52. The Monarchs saw four members compete in the 50-yard Freestyle. Unvarsky took third at 30.39, Romero finished at 33.37, Fields-Clarkson ended at 38.01, and Lexi Nastanski rounded the group at 33.08.
 
In the 100-yard Freestyle, Romero was in fifth at 1:16.18, Fields-Clarkson was behind at 1:27.17, and Nastanski timed in at 1:31.22. In the last individual event, Unvarsky tabbed fourth place in the 200-yard IM and clocked in at 3:01.79.
 
In the team events, the King's relay team that consisted of Romero, Nastanski, Fields-Clarkson, and Unvarsky placed third in the 2:21.19 during the 200-yard Freestyle Relay.
 
The Monarchs will have one week off before they are back on the for a tri-meet against Hartwick and SUNY-Delhi in Oneonta, NY at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 19^th.
