DALLAS, PA (October 19, 2024) -- The King's College men's soccer team moves to 6-4-3, 1-1-1 MAC Freedom after tying Misericordia 1-1 Saturday night at Mangelsdorf Field. The Cougars will move to 3-6-4, 1-0-2 MAC Freedom with the draw.

Philip Permyashkin got the Monarchs on the board with a goal off an assist from senior midfielder
Shane Serio. Through the remainder of the half, King's had four shots and Misericordia had eight, but the Monarchs led 1-0 going into halftime.
In minute 61, a yellow card was issued to Misericordia's Patrick Sipera and to Serio two minutes later. Misericordia's Anthony Yarabinee snuck the ball past King's goalkeeper Ben Vanvalkenburg in minute 81 to tally an unassisted goal and even the score. Corbin Lankford was issued a yellow card three minutes later. The score remained 1-1 as time expired.
Through 90 minutes, King's had nine total shots with two being on goal and Vanvalkenburg concluded the night with three saves.
King's is back in action on Wednesday, October 23 as they host Lebanon Valley College at McCarthy Stadum at 7 p.m.
