ONEONTA, PA (October 19, 2024) -- The King's College women's swim team was defeated by the Hawks of Hartwick 168.5-28.5. The Monarchs are now 0-3 overall, while the Hawks pick up their first win of the season.

In the first individual event at Sally Griffiths Aquatics Center,
Ash Fields-Clarkson finished fourth in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 3:11.07 and
Lexi Nastanski was right behind at 3:27.08.
Esmeralda Romero picked up fourth place in the 100-yard backstroke at 1:26.41, while Fields-Clarkson followed at 1:29.41. In the 100-yard breaststroke,
Makenna Unvarsky came in at 1:31.08 to tie for fourth with Hartwick's Paige Fagan.

Unvarsky picked up another fourth place finish in the 50-yard freestyle at 31.01, Romero was in sixth at 32.81, and Nastanski rounded King's at 41.35. In the 100-yard freestyle, Romero clocked in at 1:14.40 for fourth, Fields-Clarkson followed at 1:28.71, and Nastanski came in at 1:37.92. Unvarsky took the top spot in the 100-yard fly with a time of 1:28.05.

In team events, the relay team that consisted of Romero, Fields-Clarkson, Nastanski, and Unvarsky competed in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:19.23.

The Monarchs will be back on the road at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 26
th to battle Widener, Hood, and Messiah. The squad will have their first home meet of the season on November 2
nd at 12 p.m. against FDU-Florham.
