Women's Swimming Falls on the Road at Widener Quad Meet

CHESTER, PA (October 26, 2024) -- The King's College women's swim team lost to Widener 216-13, fell to Hood 166-17, and was defeated by Messiah 216-13 on Saturday afternoon at the Schwartz Athletic Center.
 
Esmeralda Romero clocked in at 2:43.83 and Ash Fields-Clarkson was at 3:12.38 in the 200-yard freestyle. During the 100-yard backstroke, Fields-Clarkson finished at 1:27.94 and Romero at 1:29.88. Makenna Unvarsky competed in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:30.98.
 
In the 50-yard freestyle, Unvarsky clocked in at 31.00, Romero at 34.31, and Fields-Clarkson rounded the Monarchs at 26.50. During the 100-yard freestyle, Unvarsky took 10th with a time of 1:08.26, Fields-Clarkson pulled in at 1:24.07, and Romero at 1:13.93. Unvarsky competed in the 100-yard butterfly and clocked in at 1:27.95.
 
King's will host their first meet of the season against Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) opponent FDU-Florham at 12 p.m. on Saturday, November 2nd. The squad will be back on the road at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 9th against Wilkes and Stevenson.
