WILKES-BARRE, PA (October 3, 2024) -- On Thursday afternoon, the King's College women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Lycoming College at Kirby Park. The Monarchs fall to 0-1 in dual matches, while the Warriors improved to 6-1.

In singles action,
Ashley Kenia picked up wins of 6-3 and 7-5 over Rei Saar at No. 1 singles, while
Carlee Dellose defeated Emma Kelchner at No. 2 singles, 6-4 and 6-3.

At No. 3 singles,
Sarah Stettler dropped sets of 6-4 and 6-0 to Sarah Lanphear, while
Alexis Turayev fell by scores of 6-0 and 6-1 at No. 4 singles to Sadie Stahl. The No. 4 singles match saw
Morgan Eiswerth lose to Greta Kimble by sets of 6-2 and 6-0, while Cassandra Conner downed
Betsy Allen at No. 6 singles, 6-0 and 6-1.

In doubles play, the No. 1 pair of Kenia and Dellose fell, 6-2, while Stettler and Turayev dropped the No. 2 doubles match, 6-1. Allen and Eiswerth rounded out doubles play in the No. 3 doubles match with a 6-0 setback.

King's will be back in action on Saturday afternoon as they host York (Pa.) at 1:00 p.m. at Kirby Park.
