GLENSIDE, PA (October 5, 2024) -- The King's College men's soccer team opened their Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom schedule on the road against the Knights of Arcadia on Saturday afternoon. The Monarchs fell 2-0 to the Knights at Jean Lenox West Field.

Arcadia (10-1-1) wasted no time attacking the King's (4-4-2) defense and witnessed Devin Schmitt find the back of the net at 10:14. From then on, the game remained scoreless as the Knights continued their assault.
Luke Ferre took the final shot of the half at 39:42 but was blocked by their hosts. The Monarchs were down 1-0 heading into the break.

In the second half, the King's defense stayed strong and made Arcadia scoreless for 32 minutes. Though, the enemy netted another goal at 77:30 by Steven Warren. The Knights controlled the rest of the matchup heading into the final 10 minutes. At 85:15 a yellow card was given to Arcadia's Tylan Mulcahy, and the Monarchs were able to capitalize with a shot on goal by
Shane Serio, but Aden Razukiewicz was able to make the save. King's ultimately fell 2-0 to the Knights.

The Monarchs are back home in McCarthy Stadium and will host Marywood at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9
th. The squad will have their home opening MAC Freedom matchup on October 12
th at 1 p.m. against Delaware Valley.
