WILKES-BARRE, PA (October 5
th, 2024) -- On Sunday afternoon, the King's College men's tennis team fell 6-1 to York (PA) at Kirby Park. The Monarchs are now 2-1, while the Spartans improve to 2-1.

Patrick Pech stood victorious over Jason Lutz at No. 1 singles after going down the first set 6-4, he won the next set 6-3, to force a tiebreaker and win it with a score of 10-3.
Cody Zheng also forced a tie breaker set at No. 2 singles after falling 6-4 in the first, Zheng came back with a 6-3 win in the second, but ultimately fell 10-7 in the third to Ben Dorsey.

At No. 3 singles,
Brendan Turowski dropped to Parker Sanders in back-to-back 6-0 sets. Evan Stehman defeated
Stanley Shimko in No. 4 singles with sets of 6-1 and 6-3.
Dylan Stoss dropped sets of 6-3 and 6-1 to Hayden Musser at No. 5 sings, while Gavin Gall fell, 6-0 and 6-1, to Ian Bartles at No. 6 singles.

Pech and Zheng teamed up at No. 1 doubles against Lutz and Dorsey to bring home a 6-3 win. The duo Stoss and Turowski fell 6-2 to Stehman and Musser at No. 2 doubles. At No. 3 doubles, Zack Bedwell and Hall dropped their contest 6-1 against Sanders and Bartles.

The Monarchs will finish their fall schedule with a home match at Kirby Park against cross town rival Wilkes on Sunday, October 20
