ORLANDO, FL (March 10, 2025) -- The King's College men's tennis team opened their spring training trip with a 7-0 setback to Piedmont University on Monday afternoon. The Monarchs fall to 2-2 overall, while the Lions improved to 7-4.

John Toussaint battled to an 8-4 setback at No. 1 singles to Mark Backeberg, while
Amir Samadian fell by a score of 8-1 at No. 5 singles to Brent Sherman.
Patrick Pech at No. 2 singles,
Cody Zheng at No. 3 singles,
Gavin Hall at No. 4 singles, and
Zackary Bedwell at No. 6 singles all dropped 8-0 decisions to their Lions foes.

The pair of Toussaint and Pech fell, 6-2, at No. 1 doubles, while Zheng and Hall were downed by a 6-2 final at No. 2 doubles. Bedwell and Samadian teamed up at No. 3 doubles before dropping a 6-0 decision.

The Monarchs will be back in action in the Sunshine State as they take on Loras College at 8:00 a.m.
