WILKES-BARRE, PA (November 2, 2024) -- On Saturday evening, the King's College field hockey team wrapped up its 2024 regular season in an 8-0 setback to Stevens Institute of Technology in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) play. With the loss at McCarthy Stadium, the Monarchs finish 4-15 overall and 0-7 in the conference, while the Ducks improved to 13-5 and 6-1 in the MAC Freedom standings.

Despite a 2-2 draw in penalty corners in the first quarter, Stevens (13-5, 6-1 MAC Freedom) dominated much of the first half to hold a 6-0 edge at the break. The Ducks tacked on two early tallies in the third with the final score coming in the 37
th minute before the King's (4-15, 0-7 MAC Freedom) defense buckled down. The Monarchs defense battled through the final stretch, holding Stevens scoreless across the final 15 minutes of action before posting the 8-0 setback.

Rowan Murray all put up shots in the loss, while
Allie Chocallo made a defensive save.
Emily Bollinger collected six saves across 36:09 of action, while
Hannah Hagan made three.

The Ducks were led by Gabi Moroney with two goals and an assist, while Jenna Piantieri totaled five shots. Both Julianna O'Sheal and Lily Wierzbicki had a save in the cage for Stevens.
