CENTER VALLEY, PA (November 2, 2024) -- The King's College women's soccer team concludes the 2024 season 3-10-5, 2-4-1 MAC Freedom after losing 3-0 to DeSales on Saturday afternoon at DUC Soccer Field. The Bulldogs will improve to 6-11-2, 3-3-1 MAC Freedom with the win.
DeSales struck first in minute 23 with a goal from Jaden Cook off assists from Emma Ribeiro and Madison O'Connor to make it 1-0. A yellow card was issued to
Maya Parker in minute 39, but the 1-0 score stood going into halftime.
O'Connor scored a goal of her own DSU with another assist from Ribeiro in minute 54 of the second half. After a foul was called on first-year goalkeeper
Findley Hillebrant in minute 63, the Bulldogs were awarded a penalty kick that Ribeiro converted into a goal to extend the lead to 3-0. Hillebrant concluded the afternoon with six saves.
The MAC Freedom Semifinal game is scheduled for Wednesday, November 6 with the time, location and teams to be determined.
