WILKES-BARRE, PA (November 2, 2024) -- The King's College women's swim team hosted the Devils of FDU-Florham (3-0) in Scandlon Natatorium on Saturday afternoon. The Monarchs (0-7) fell to the Devils 14-149.

In the individual events,
Esmeralda Romero came in fourth at 2:44.94 and
Ash Fields-Clarkson was in fifth at 3:20.30 during the 200-yard freestyle. In the 50-yard freestyle,
Makenna Unvarsky took fourth at 29.67, Romero clocked in at 34.03, and Fields-Clarkson rounded the group at 38.79.

Unvarsky competed in the 100-yard freestyle with a fourth place finish at 1:07.62. During the 100-yard backstroke, Romero finished at 1:25.29, and Fields-Clarkson was right behind at 1:33.40. Unvarsky clocked in at 1:31.59 in the 100-yard breaststroke.

In the team events, the King's relay team that consisted of Unvarsky, Fields-Clarkson, and Romero competed in the 200-yard freestyle as an exhibition with a time of 2:17.01.

King's will be back in the pool on Saturday, November 9
th at 1 p.m. to take on Wilkes and Stevenson at the Wyoming Valley CYC. The squad will return home on Friday, November 15
th at 5:30 p.m. to battle Lebanon Valley.
