READING, PA (December 7, 2024) --
Abigail Springer topped her own previous indoor record time in the 200 meter dash to lead the King's College women's indoor track and field team at the Golden Wolves Rust Buster on Saturday. At Alvernia University, the Monarchs collected four individual top marks, 18 podium finishes, and two personal bests to go along with the indoor program record.

On the Track
60 Meter Dash
In the preliminary heats,
Abigail Springer and
Sophia Hahn finished third and fourth, respectively, as Springer finished in 8.27 seconds while Hahn posted a time of 8.88 seconds. Alvernia's Elisabeth Schwarz won the preliminary heat in 8.17 seconds, while Grace Kane of Delaware Valley won the finals heat in 8.17 seconds.

200 Meter Dash
Abigail Springer placed second overall in an indoor-record time of 27.22 seconds, while
Sophia Hahn placed fourth in 30.75 seconds. Delaware Valley's Grace Kane won the event in 27.14 seconds.

400 Meter Dash
Ava Butcher won the event with a time of 1:03.86.

60 Meter Hurdles
Victoria Zultevicz was the top finisher in the event in 9.74 seconds.

In the Field
High Jump
Maddy Armitage led a group of Monarchs in the event as she placed third with a height of 1.47 meters, while
Abigail Thompson finished fifth in her collegiate debut with a height of 1.47 meters.
Victoria Zultevicz and
Dani Rimsky tied for sixth as they recorded a mark of 1.27 meters. Maggie Previglian of Stevens won the event with a height of 1.58 meters.

Long Jump
Victoria Zultevicz took third overall with a mark of 4.74 meters. Maggie Previglian of Stevens was the top finisher with a jump of 4.83 meters.

Shot Put
Brandy Varner won the event to lead four Monarch throwers with a mark of 11.42 meters.
Sophia Lukowski placed third with a toss of 10.20 meters, while
Caitlin Kirk posted a throw of 9.81 meters to finish fifth.
Victoria Zultevicz rounded out the group in ninth with a mark of 9.19 meters.

Weight Throw
King's had great success in the event, sweeping the top three spots.
Katey Shoemaker won the event with a throw of 14.63 meters, while
Brandy Varner took second with a toss of 14.00 meters.
Caitlin Kirk placed third with a personal best mark of 13.79 meters, and
Sophia Lukowski rounded out the podium finishing-marks in seventh with a throw of 11.21 meters.

The Monarchs will be off for the holiday break before returning to action in the New Year. King's will start off the semester with a trip to Susquehanna University to compete in the River Hawk Invitational on Saturday, January 18.
