KISSIMMEE, FL (March 6, 2024) -- In their lone match of the day, the King's College men's tennis team fell, 7-0, to Wentworth Institute of Technology at the Oak Street Park Community Center. With the loss, the Monarchs drop to 0-5 overall, while the Leopards improved to 2-4.

In doubles play, the No. 1 pair of
Logan Gregory and
John Toussaint battled through their match before falling, 8-6, to the Leopards team. The No. 2 team of
Brendan Turowski and
Cody Zheng dropped an 8-2 decision, while
Alex Nole and
Zackary Bedwell fell by a score of 8-1 in the No. 3 doubles match.

Both Gregory in the No. 1 singles match and Toussaint in the No. 2 singles match went unfinished, with both winning their first set, 6-3, and both trailing in their second.

The completed singles play featured Turowski at No. 3 singles in a 6-2 and 6-1 loss to Manas Arya, while Zheng fell by scores of 6-0 and 6-2 to Eric Doraci at No. 4 singles. Nole dropped sets of 6-1 and 6-0 to James Weete at No. 5 singles, while Bedwell rounded out the action at No. 6 singles with setbacks of 6-1 and 6-0.

The Monarchs will wrap up their spring training trip tomorrow afternoon as they take on Concordia College (Minn.) at 2:30 p.m. at the Oak Street Park Community Center.
