KISSIMMEE, FL (March 7, 2024) -- The King's College women's tennis team concluded their annual spring training trip on Thursday afternoon in a 9-0 setback to Concordia University Moorehead at Kissimmee's Oak Street Park Community Center. The Monarchs return north 0-5 overall, while the Cobbers improved to 3-14.
 
Ashley Kenia had an exciting match at No. 1 singles, winning the first set 6-3 over Mary Skorich before dropping the next to by scores of 6-3 and 10-7. In No. 2 singles action, Hailey D'Amato was slowed by scores of 6-2 and 6-0 to Anna Hacker, while Jackie Costello fell by sets of 6-1 and 6-0 to Erin Borchard at No. 3 singles. Carlee Dellose dropped a pair of 6-0 decisions to Annalise Skrade at No. 4 singles, while the No. 5 match saw Emma Rooney defeated, 6-1 and 6-2, by Bell Hamre.
 
In doubles play, Kenia and D'Amato paired up before falling, 8-2, at No. 1 doubles, and Costello and Dellose teamed up at No. 2 doubles in an 8-3 setback.
 
The Monarchs will make their trip up north before returning to play on Saturday, March 16 as they travel to Williamsport to face Penn College at 1:00 p.m.
