With the win, the Monarchs jump to 6-8 overall and 2-2 in the MAC Freedom standings, while the Devils fall to 2-9 and 0-4 in the conference.

The Monarchs had a strong showing in their singles matches, as Logan Gregory defeated Matthew Emery at No. 1 singles by sets of 6-3 and 6-0, while John Toussaint battled through his match, earning a set one win, 7-5, before falling, 6-3, in the second. Toussaint came out on top with a 6-4 victory in the third at No. 2 singles to Ronald Duval. Patrick Pech won his No. 3 singles match, rallying from a 7-5 setback in the first to win the next two, 6-3 and 6-4, over Kelvin Liwag. Cody Zheng earned the final singles victory in No. 6 action over Armin Ali by a pair of 6-0 sets.
