Logan Gregory and
Cody Zheng led the King's College men's tennis team in a 7-2 defeat to Lebanon Valley College on Sunday afternoon in a Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) match. With the setback, the Monarchs fall to 6-9 overall and 2-3 in the standings, while the Flying Dutchmen improved to 9-7 with a 3-1 conference mark.

Gregory picked up his win at No. 1 singles, battling back from a 6-3 deficit in the first set to take the next two, 6-4 and 6-3, over Jesse Beck. Zheng earned a win at No. 6 singles in a battle with Ethan Luu, defeating Luu 6-4 in the first and falling 7-5 in the second before taking the final set in a dominant 10-1 fashion.

At No. 2 singles,
John Toussaint won the first set, 7-5, before falling by scores of 6-4 and 6-2 to Adam Warren.
Patrick Pech dropped sets of 6-3 and 6-2 at No. 3 singles to Jake Erb, while
Aidan Temple was downed, 6-1 and 6-2, to Michael Schuetz at No. 4 singles.
Brendan Turowski rounded out singles play with losses of 6-3 and 6-1 at No. 5 singles to Colin Brusse.

Doubles play saw Gregory and Toussaint fall in a tight 8-6 contest at No. 1 doubles, while Pech and Temple fell by a score of 8-3 at No. 2 doubles. Turowski and
Mike Bizzoco wrapped up doubles play with an 8-1 setback at No. 3 doubles.

King's will be off for the week before returning to action on Friday afternoon, taking the trip out to Williamsport to take on Lycoming College. The non-conference match is set to begin at 3:30 p.m.
