MADISON, NJ (April 20, 2024) -- On Saturday afternoon, the King's College women's tennis team dominated the host FDU-Florham, 8-1, in their Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) match in Madison, NJ. The Monarchs improved to 5-8 overall and 1-3 in the conference, while the Devils fall to 0-6 with an 0-4 MAC Freedom mark.

King's (5-8, 1-3 MAC Freedom) got off to a great start as
Ashley Kenia swept Rachel Kappelmier at No. 1 singles by straight 6-0 sets, and
Hailey D'Amato earned wins of 6-2 and 6-0 over Maggie Cronkhite at No. 2 singles.
Carlee Dellose went through a battle at No. 4 singles with Paula Vanegas before winning, 6-4 and 7-5, and
Emma Rooney downed Emily Prachthauser by a pair of 6-0 sets at No. 5 singles.
Sarah Stettler picked up the final singles victory by a set of 6-1 wins at No. 6 singles over Giavana Caracciolo.

At No. 3 singles,
Jackie Costello dropped set one, 6-2, before rallying to take the second, 6-4. She was then defeated, 11-9, in the third.

The Monarchs swept doubles action, as Kenia and D'Amato defeated the No. 1 pair, 8-2, while Costello and Dellose earned an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles. Rooney and
Anagrace Schwartz picked up the final win in the match, 8-1, at No. 3 doubles.

The Monarchs will be back in action tomorrow afternoon in another MAC Freedom match on the road, traveling to Annville, Pa. to take on Lebanon Valley College. Action is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
