ANNVILLE, PA (April 21, 2024) --
Hailey D'Amato earned the lone win for the King's College women's tennis team in an 8-1 setback to Lebanon Valley College in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) play on Sunday afternoon. The Monarchs drop to 5-9 overall and 1-4 in the conference, while the Flying Dutchmen improved to 14-1 with a 3-1 MAC Freedom mark.

D'Amato earned her win at No. 2 singles as she defeated Sarah Kramer, 6-2 and 6-4, to collect the win for King's (5-9, 1-4 MAC Freedom).

In singles play,
Ashley Kenia fell by sets of 6-2 and 7-5 at No. 1 singles to Sarah McComas, while
Jackie Costello dropped her No. 3 singles match, 6-2 and 6-0, to Eliana Shenk. The No. 4 singles match up saw
Carlee Dellose downed by sets of 6-0 and 6-1 to Megan Martin, while
Emma Rooney at the No. 5 singles bout lost by scores of 6-0 and 6-2.
Sarah Stettler rounded out the singles contests as she suffered setbacks of 6-4 and 6-3 at No. 6 singles to Kendall Halsey.

Doubles play saw Kenia and D'Amato drop a tough 8-5 match at No. 1 doubles, while Costello and Dellose fell in an 8-1 match at No. 2 doubles to the Flying Dutchmen pair. Rooney and
Anagrace Schwartz rounded out the match with an 8-1 loss at No. 3 doubles.

The Monarchs will be off for the week ahead of a busy weekend, kicking things off in a non-conference match at Lycoming College on Friday afternoon. The contest in Williamsport, Pa. is set to begin at 3:30 p.m.
