GLENSIDE, PA (April 24, 2024) -- The King's College women's lacrosse team took on the Knights of Arcadia Wednesday night for their last Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom matchup of the season. The Monarchs (1-15, 1-8 MAC Freedom) fell to the Knights 18-5 in Jean Lenox West Field.

The opening quarter went back-and-forth as both adversaries looked to create an advantage. Arcadia struck first with a goal at 11:09 by Sarah Morris. The Knights (8-8, 3-3 MAC Freedom) went on to score eight straight points to end the first quarter with a 9-0 edge on King's.

Arcadia maintained their momentum in the second quarter with another tally at 14:39. The Monarchs answered back with a goal by
Chloe Burke (Jr.) at 10:28 to get King's on the board. Though the Knights answered back with a 4-0 run to head into halftime. The Monarchs were down 14-1.

Then third quarter was unlike the first half as the King's defense stayed strong causing shot clock violations and several turnovers. Arcadia would put up two tallies, but the Monarchs continued to fight on and saw Burke find the back of the net once again at 2:39. King's stayed on the offensive end after a draw control win from
Kyleigh Dunworth (Jr.). At the last second of the third quarter,
Ashley Dias (Jr.) drained a free position shot to gain a tally for the Monarchs. Heading into the final quarter, the Knights held on to a 19-3 lead.

The fourth quarter was scoreless in the first five-minutes when the hosts found the back of the net at 10:19. King's forced a turnover and Dunworth found
Sarah Schultz (So.) for a Monarch goal at 7:53. The visitors remained composed and took advantage of a foul to gain a tally by Dunworth with 4:33 left of play. Arcadia scored the final goal at 0:39 and eventually won 18-5.

King's witnessed four different players find the back of the net. Burke led the squad with two goals on four shots and added two draw control wins. Dunworth earned four draw control wins with one goal and one assist.
Gabby Lucchesi (Jr.) had five ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Sidney Bush (Sr.) produced nine saves for the night in net.

Arcadia's Morris fueled the offense with five goals, one assist, and six draw control wins. Morganne Dee had three goals and three assists. Mackenzie Clark collected five ground balls, four caused turnovers, two goals, and one assist. Starting goalkeeper Emily Griffin had three saves in net.
