Men's Golf Finish Day One of MAC Freedom Championships

NEW TRIPOLI, PA (April 27, 2024) -- The King's College men's golf team is currently in seventh place out of eight teams in the 2024 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom Championships Tournament at Olde Homstead Golf Club. As a team, the Monarchs had a round of 370 (+82) on the par-72 course.
 
Stevens led the team competition with a score of 305 (+17), while DeSales ranked second with a round of 310 (+22). Delaware Valley and Lebanon Valley evened for third with a score of 325 (+37).
 
In the individual competition, Andrew Saglimbeni of DeSales' leads with a score of 73 (+1). DeSales' Luke Hallman is at second with a round of 74 (+2). Stevens' Gus Vickers, Austin Liao, and Brock Dickson are tied for third with a score of 75 (+3).
 
For King's, JP Gilroy (Jr.) led with a round of 80 (+8) and is tied for eighth with Brandon Staniszewski of Lebanon Valley. Jackson Grozelle is at the 32nd spot and carded a score of 92 (+20). Cameron Jones (Fy.) finished 34th and posted a score of 97 (+25). Alexander Ray (Jr.) and Michael Kaleta (Fy.) evened with a score of 101 (+29) to rank 36th with Vincent Ferrigno of FDU-Florham.
 
The MAC Freedom Championship Tournament will resume Sunday, April 28th with the first tee-offs set for 10:30 a.m. at Olde Homstead Golf Club.
