WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 9, 2024) -- For the third straight match, the King's College men's tennis team came out victorious with a 7-2 win over Misericordia University in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) play. With the victory, the Monarchs improve to 5-7 overall and 1-1 in conference play, while the Cougars drop to 1-8 with an 0-2 conference mark.

The Monarchs collected five wins in singles play.
Logan Gregory defeated Dalton Alexander, 6-2 and 6-0, in No. 1 singles action, while
Patrick Pech swept Chase Cavanaugh in the No. 2 match with a pair of 6-1 wins.
Brendan Turowski posted matching 6-0 set wins at No. 3 singles over Mikey Dylina, and
Jacob Nelson defeated Derek Burcik, 6-0 and 6-2, in the No. 4 singles contest.
Cody Zheng picked up the final singles win in the match for King's (5-7, 1-1 MAC Freedom) with sets of 6-2 and 6-3 over Christian Mazza.

Gregory and Pech teamed up to defeat the No. 1 Cougars team, 8-2, while Turowski and Zheng downed the No. 2 Cougars pair, 8-3.

In No. 6 singles play,
Mike Bizzoco won the first, 6-3, before falling 6-3 and 10-6 to Hunter Wesolowski. The No. 3 doubles match saw Bizzoco and
Jacob Nelson battle to an 8-6 setback to Misericordia (1-8, 0-2 MAC Freedom).

King's is back at Kirby Park on Saturday afternoon as they host Arcadia University on senior day. The MAC Freedom match is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
