CHESTER, PA (May 3, 2024) -- The King's College women's outdoor track and team remains in third place after the first two days of action at the 2024 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Victoria Zultevicz earned a silver medal and a second podium finish on the day with her program record in the heptathlon, while
Abigail Springer set a new record in the 200 meter dash to highlight another strong day of competition at Widener University.

On the Track
100 Meter Dash
Abigail Springer led a duo of Monarchs as she finished 15
th overall in 12.96 seconds, while
Juliet Brady crossed in 13.24 seconds. Laura Mathews of Stevens holds the top time from the preliminary heats in 12.19 seconds.

200 Meter Dash
Abigail Springer finished just outside of a finals qualifying time as she posted a new program-record time of 26.20 seconds, while
Juliet Brady ran a personal best time of 26.93 seconds. Laura Mathews of Stevens holds her second top time of the day in the 200 meter dash in 24.68 seconds.

400 Meter Dash
Laura Dainauski led King's in the event as she finished in 1:02.03 to take 12
th overall, while
Ava Butcher crossed in a personal best time of 1:02.38. Isabella Shanley from Stevens led the qualifying times in 58.24 seconds.

3,0000 Meter Steeplechase
The King's trio finished inn consecutive order, led by
Julia Johnson in 12:15.79 in 12
th place.
Mikaela Majcher took 13
th in 12:27.38, while
Zoe Tomko rounded out the group in 14
th with a time of 12:33.86. Liz Egan of Widener won the event in 11:09.63.

4x100 Meter Relay
The Monarch women also qualified for tomorrow's final heat as the team of
Juliet Brady,
Sophia Hahn,
Laura Dainauski, and
Abigail Springer placed seventh in 50.32 seconds. Widener's relay team holds the top time in 48.88 seconds.

In the Field
High Jump
Madison Armitage placed fourth overall as she cleared a height of 1.57 meters to finish on the podium. Caroline Tighe of Stevens won the event as the lone competitor to clear the 1.60 meter mark.

Pole Vault
Victoria Zultevicz secured her second podium finish in the meet as she took eighth in the pole vault with a height of 3.05 meters.
Liz Porto finished with a mark of 2.80 meters and claimed 11
th, while Madelyn Perfilio recorded a height of 2.65 meters. Widener's Savannah Steger won the pole vault with a mark of 3.25 meters.

Long Jump
Madelynn Perfilio recorded a podium finish in the long jump, finishing fourth overall with a mark of 5.12 meters. Alvernia's Shinelle Felix won the event with a jump of 5.76 meters.

Discus Throw
King's placed three on the podium to continue a strong weekend for their throwers, led by
Brandy Varner in fourth with a toss of 37.28 meters.
Delaney Hilferty finished right behind in fifth with a throw of 37.21 meters, while
Katey Shoemaker took seventh with a personal best mark of 35.78 meters.
Caitlin Kirk cracked the top 15 in 13
th place, recording a toss of 33.59 meters, and
Rhian Crowley finished with a throw of 31.15 meters.
Anna Bellucci wrapped up the solid outing for the Monarchs with a mark of 30.87 meters. Ashley Muliawan of Stevens won the event with a throw of 39.85 meters.

Multis
Heptathlon
Victoria Zultevicz claimed the silver medal in the heptathlon with a program record of 3,832 points. She began the second day's events with a fifth-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 4.57 meters before taking second in the javelin throw with a personal best toss of 24.46 meters. Zultevicz finished the event with a fourth-place time in the 800 meter run in 2:42.19. Theresa Kervick from Widener won the event with 4,135 points.

The Monarchs will look to have a strong finish tomorrow for the final day of the 2024 MAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Action is set to get underway at 12:00 p.m. at the George A. Hansell Track.
