CHESTER, PA (May 4, 2024) -- The King's College women's outdoor track and field team had a great finish on Saturday at the 2024 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships, placing fourth overall with 73 points to mark the best team finish in program history. Widener's team won the team title with 197 points.

On the Track
4x100 Meter Relay
The women's team made the podium after running a time of 50.57 seconds in the finals as
Juliet Brady,
Sophia Hahn,
Laura Dainauski, and
Abigail Springer placed eighth overall. The team from Widener won the event in 48.07 seconds.

4x400 Meter Relay
King's had a strong race on Saturday afternoon to wrap up the meet as the team of
Abigail Springer,
Ava Butcher,
Nicole Zambetti, and
Laura Dainauski placed fifth in 4:08.08. Widener's team won the relay in 4:02.54.

In the Field
Triple Jump
Madelynn Perfilio secured her second podium finish on the weekend, taking sixth overall with a personal best mark of 10.59 meters. Shinelle Felix of Alvernia won the triple jump with a mark of 11.94 meters.

Shot Put
The Monarch women continued their strong meet in throwing events as
Brandy Varner brought home the silver medal in the shot put with a toss of 11.90 meters, while
Delaney Hilferty posted her third podium finish for the weekend with an eighth-place mark of 10.57 meters.
Roni McClelland finished just off the podium in 10
th with a personal best throw of 10.39 meters, and
Caitlin Kirk took 13
th with a toss of 10.07 meters. Widener's Kayla Robinson recorded the top mark at 12.64 meters.

Javelin Throw
Katey Shoemaker claimed her second medal in the championships as she secured the silver medal in the javelin with a throw of 38.77 meters, while
Delaney Hilferty wrapped up her weekend with a mark of 27.94 meters. Alexandra Snyder of Misericordia posted the top throw at 39.33 meters.
