Rowan Murray tallied the scores for the King's College field hockey team in a 3-2 setback to Immaculata University at McCarthy Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Monarchs drop to 0-2 to begin the season, while the Mighty Macs improve to 2-1.

Immaculata (2-1) seemed to have the early momentum, capitalizing on their third penalty corner in the opening 4:22 as Alexis Andrada recorded the score to put the Mighty Macs on top, 1-0. The Monarchs responded to make it a back-and-forth affair throughout the remainder of the opening period, but it did not take long into the second for King's (0-2) to find their stride.

Megan Harry sent a great ball into the crease to find a cutting Clark who finished off the play to tie the contest, 1-1, with 12:14 to go in the half. Each team had a solid opportunity at a score, but it was in the final 4:57 of the half that Murray tipped lofted a ball into the top left corner of the cage to give King's the 2-1 edge heading into the break.

The third quarter went to the Mighty Macs as the visitors out shot King's, 4-0, in the frame and capitalized on goals in the 39
th and 40
th minutes to jump ahead, 3-2. The Monarchs had a solid opportunity with just under 10 minutes to play as they fired off two shots out of the penalty corner, but their efforts fell shy as King's dropped the 3-2 decision in the non-conference affair.

Murray picked up her first collegiate points on her goal, while Clark scored on her only attempt on goal in the contest. Harry secured a point on her assist, while sophomore
Davina Krappa led the team with two shots. Sophomore
Emily Bollinger totaled six saves in the cage in her second collegiate appearance.

Alexis Andrada led the Mighty Macs with two goals on eight shots, including six on target, while Della George picked up two assists. Julia Levase made one save to secure the win for Immaculata.

King's put three of their five shots on goal in the contest while matching Immaculata in the penalty corner column, 6-6.

The Monarchs will return to McCarthy Stadium on Wednesday evening to cap off their three-game home stand. King's is set to host Wilkes University in a non-conference match up at 4:00 p.m.
